The Vignobles Raguenot
Artistes Du Vin
Founded in 1967, Raguenot Vineyards thrives today because of the pioneering and visionary minds of Lise and Philippe Raguenot.
In 1997, their two daughters, Emmanuelle and Marie-Pierre, associated with their respective husbands, Daren Miller and Eric Lallez, take over Château des Tourtes in the Blaye-Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. All four are changing careers, and with their different experiences and talents, each of them earn their diplomas in viticulture and oenology and step into the winemaking arena.
It’s in 1998 that our four musketeers acquire Château Haut Beyzac in the Haut-Médoc appellation. With their skills, their motivation, and above all, their passion for the world of wine, they strive to gain a strong reputation at international levels through continued regularity in work ethic and impeccable quality. Their commitment to the winemaking profession has awarded them more than 100 medals over 25 years, and has them featured in numerous press articles each year.
Two Wineries
Vignobles Raguenot, a independant winegrower family that works and lives for one passion: making beautiful wines!
Located in the little village of Saint Caprais de Blaye, in appellation Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux, Château des Tourtes has 70 hectares with 15 hectares devoted to produce white grapes: Sauvignon Blanc (80%), Sémillon (15%), and Muscadelle (5%). The rest of the vineyard is dedicated to the production of red grapes: Merlot (72%), Cabernet Sauvignon (14%), Malbec (7%), Petit Verdot (6%) and Carménère (1%).
On silicious-clay with graveley sub-soil, the Raguenot family produces a classic cuvée of white, red and rosé wine but also a prestige cuvée of white and red wine. The Tourtes Attribut wine is the pearl of the vineyard that is produced with a selection of plots to express the quintessence of Château des Tourtes.
In appellation Haut-Médoc, Château Haut-Beyzac is etablished in Vertheuil with 30 hectares and a remarkable geology (clayey-limestone). The vineyard is made up of Cabernet Sauvignon, the preferred grape of this soil, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Three distinct cuvées are made in very different ways of vinification, aging and blending.
