Justin Cabernet Sauvignon Paso Robles 2020
America’s #1 Luxury Cabernet Sauvignon
With attractive aromas of black fruit and spice, this smooth, ready-to-drink Cabernet Sauvignon is made in Paso Robles with the same care as the highest quality, traditionally crafted Bordeaux-style wines. Our grapes are hand-picked and sorted by-the-berry for consistent quality and flavor. Justin Cabernet Sauvignon then spends fourteen months in traditional small oak barrels to impart depth and complexity, highlighting the exceptional balance of flavors and textures that the unique climate and soils of Paso Robles add to the classic Cabernet character in this exceptional wine.
Tasting Notes
Appearance: Deeply colored with a dark ruby core that lightens at the rim of the glass, with moderately thick, slow-forming tears.
Aroma: Warmly aromatic with ripe red and black cherry notes, cigar box, and toasted oak with savory elements of vanilla and caramel with fresh sage, and hints of cocoa.
Palate: Moderate-plus bodied with ripe red plum, black cherry, and blackberry on the entry. The fresh midpalate turns savory with dried herbs, barrel spice, and vanilla supported by smooth tannins. The complex finish shows lingering ripe red and black fruit and spice mixed with dark caramel, dried floral notes, and mint elements.

Our Vineyards
The Secret is in The Soil
A vineyard’s terroir - its soil and climate - is where wines get their distinctive character. What makes Paso Robles’ terroir so unique is the diversity in soils, its elevation, and annual rainfall. Rich in limestone and higher pH levels, the terroir here is quite similar to that of Bordeaux, France, which is what enables us to make such exceptional Bordeaux-style blends.

The Justin Story
From Grape to Glass
“We believe wine should be exceptional from every angle. I personally invite you to discover our award-winning tradition that starts with our limestone-rich soil in Paso Robles and ends when the last glass is poured.” Justin Baldwin, Founder, Justin Vineyards & Winery
Our Philosophy
At Justin, we combine traditional Old World methods - like hand-harvesting and small-barrel aging in French oak - with New World technology. For example, the “Air Knife”, an ingenious New World process invented by our winemakers, boosts grape quality and efficiency.
Once the grapes are harvested, our winemakers - some of the best in the business - gather to sort, select, age, taste, blend, and decide what goes into every bottle.
Our Vineyards
We planted our first vineyard back in 1981 with a mission to make world-class Bordeaux-style blends. Since then, we’ve expanded both our knowledge of viticulture in this unique region as well as our acreage.
Our Soil
Rich in fossilized limestone from eons of marine deposits, Justin’s soil is ideally suited to creating big, Bordeaux-style reds. The limestone “stresses” the vines, producing grapes that fully express their varietal character.
Our Climate
Paso Robles’ distinctive microclimate offers the widest day-night temperature swings of any grape-growing region in California. The hot days allow the grapes to develop intense flavor, while the cool nights create great structure and balance.
