The currant, balsamic, conifer and chocolate aromas are impressive with a full body, round and juicy tannins and a flavorful finish. Savory. Hints of herbs. Drink or hold. June 2020
Rated 92 Points & Cellar Selection by Wine Enthusiast
The aromas draw you into the glass, with notes of blackberry, graphite, dried herb and dark chocolate, with the oak making an impression. The flavors are rich, the acidity high, and the tannins bring a firm grip. It needs time in the cellar to all settle in and come together, but it has all of the stuffing to deliver. Best after 2024 with a long life beyond that. Cellar Selection

by Wine & Spirits Magazine
Drawn largely from estate sources, including Ferguson and Seven HIlls, this is dark and plummy, rich as fudge when the wine is first poured. It takes a day to unfurl, notes of pine tips and clove adorning deep plum flavors and firm, mouthcoating tannins that provide powerful structure. This has the stuffing to cellar. Patrick J. Comiskey

Rich and structured, with polished red currant, espresso and spice flavors that build tension toward big but refined tannins. Best from 2021 through 2028. Tim Fish
Rated 90 Points by Decanter
A lovely, vivacious wine packed with excitingly pure blackcurrant fruits. Smoke, spice and very fresh tannins.

Winemaker Notes
With a nod to the old world, this robust Cabernet shows savory aromas, mingled with expressive black currant and cocoa. With a remarkable core of black cherry, fresh plum, and espresso, this well-integrated wine further expresses enticing damp earth and cigar box notes, and finishes with polished tannins on a smooth, powerful finish.

About the same size as the Napa Valley, Walla Walla is buttressed against the beautiful Blue Mountains on the east, Vansycle basalt ridge on the south, and rolling Palouse Hills to the north. Walla Walla means “many waters” and was the name of the local Native Americans who inhabited the valley.
