Our 2015 Pinot is a gorgeous wine that comes together in an elegant, silky Pinot Noir that over delivers for its modest price tag. It is lush and alluring, with layers of bright fruit, rose petal, spice and red fruits. This is a full-bodied and rich expression of Pinot Noir that is impeccably balanced and has the structure and savory notes that the Anderson Valley is famous for. It is ready to drink, or can be cellared for 7 to 10 years.

Vineyards & Winemaking
This wine was grown at an elevation of 450 feet on a steep hillside. Two different Pommard clones were planted to ensure the most daylight hours and achieve maximum maturity. Night harvesting is followed by rigorous sorting. We used whole cluster fermentation and the wine was aged sur lie in French oak barrels.
Anderson Valley
The wine grows at an elevation of 450 feet on a steep hillside in an area with a cool climate. Two different Pommard clones were planted to ensure the most daylight hours and achieve maximum maturity. The Anderson Valley climate is cool compared to Napa and Sonoma, with fog in the morning and breezes in the afternoon coming from the nearby Pacific Ocean, but in the summer, temperatures can spike in the afternoon and reach 100° F. Vineyards are planted mostly in the bench lands and hills, and the soils are an eclectic mix of clay, loam and gravel.
Fiftyrow
St. Helena, California
When Paul and Marion Johnson visited the Napa Valley in 1998, they talked about Paul's lifelong dream of making wine. In 2003 that dream became a reality. Paul has lived and worked half of his life in Europe and Marion was born and raised in the Rheingau region of Germany where wine is part of the culture. The European lifestyle of food and wine brought them to the Napa Valley to pursue their passion. Together with friend and winemaker Gary Galleron, they started Fiftyrow in 2003 and released their first wine in 2005.
When they started, the goal was to make wines that blend new world style with a little European style thrown in. Today, the work continues to improve the wines with every vintage.
Gary Galleron grew up in the vineyards on the street which bears his family name, Galleron Road. His grandparents, French immigrants, settled in the Napa Valley in 1918 and began the winegrowing legacy that Gary maintains today. Gary first started at Chateau Montelena under the guidance of Mike Grgich. Since then, Gary has gone on to produce world-class, award-winning wines for the most prestigious names in the Napa Valley including Whitehall Lane, Grace Family, Hartwell, Vineyard 29, Del Dotto, Seavey, and of course, Fiftyrow.
