Sunset Sky “Orange Blossom’’
Certified Organic Moscato D.O.C.G.
The Volcanic Euganean Hills of Veneto, Italy
Sunset Sky (Fior d’Arancio A.k.A “Orange Blossom”) Certified Organic Moscato is a sweet and aromatic wine produced in the Veneto region of northeastern Italy, specifically in the Colli Euganei area which rises to the heights of 300 to 600 meters.
The specific grape name used to make Sunset Sky is Moscato Giallo, often referred to as the Yellow Muscat grape variety. This grape thrives in the hilly terrain and volcanic soils of the Euganean Hills of the Veneto region.
The name Fior d'Arancio meaning “Orange Blossoms” is the hallmark of Sunset Sky Moscato.
Annual Production: Only less than 500 cases per year
Elevation: 900 ft to 1900 ft
Elements of Sunset Sky “Orange Blossom” D.O.C.G.
Color: Straw yellow with greenish reflections
Nose: The wine exhibits a vibrant bouquet of orange blossom, orange peel, and citrus fruits, hence the name “Fior d’Arancio,” which means “orange blossom” in Italian. These fragrant notes give the wine a delightful and distinctive aromatic profile.
Taste
The Territory of The Euganean Hills
Since the Middle Ages, the Euganean Hills area was esteemed for wine production due to its location isolated from the roads and traffic of merchants.
The hills' volcanic origin means their soils are rich in minerals. Trace elements are not found in other Venetian terroirs and this leads to a production of wines with complexity in aromas and taste profiles.
This can also be attributed to the distinct Mediterranean climate with dry, warm summers and rainfall concentrated to the cool, winter months.
The wine produced here has been considered to be exceptional in quality after the efforts of monks in agriculture during the year 1000. At this time production increased and the quality of the wine has since been elevated.
The soil is predominantly volcanic, rich in marl & silt, two interesting components that contribute to the growth of identity strains.
The microclimate of the Colli Euganei area, with warm days and cool nights, helps to preserve the complex aromatic compounds in the grapes, resulting in the expressive aromas and superb taste profile found in Sunset Sky Organic Moscato Fior d’Arancio.

I Dare You To Find A Product Like This! Mattia Berto
“Sunset Sky “Orange Blossom” Organic Moscato is a unique product. I dare you
to find another Moscato like this. Only here! It’s from a volcanic area. The freshness,
the powerful aromas. They are so profound that one may think that bees
created the aromas through pollination. It’s the elements of the Euganean Hills.
This is what makes wine from this land so magnificent.”
Why Are We So Different
“It is a common mistake for Moscato to be made too sweet. Our Moscato grapes
are hand-picked. We focus on only selecting the grapes of the highest quality
before entering production. Picking the Moscato grapes early preserves the
freshness. The end result is like eating a natural fruit, but in this case drinking a
natural wine.”
“What we do here on the hills is strictly based on quality and not volume. It’s less in
terms of volume and more in terms of taste. Outside of our area there are more producers of volume which produces less quality.”
“The area around us is flat then all of the sudden you see what appears to be an
Island in the middle of the sea and that is a volcanic phenomenon of these Hills
which give our wines such an extreme robust quality.”
“Millions of years ago the earth emerged without erupting. It is a volcano area
that popped up but never exploded! There are mini volcanos that never exploded. The soil, however, integrated with those volcanic elements thus creating a more rich mineral filled soil. Now this land is protected”
