"The 2020 Gran Malbec is from La Consulta, Uco Valley and was aged for 12 months. Purple in the glass. It has an aromatic profile in which the oak sets the tone and is accompanied by primary notes of fresh herbs, plum and hints of violet. The palate is free-flowing with good volume and an expansive, juicy feel followed by a lovely, diaphanous, fruit finish with a long cherry aftertaste. The texture and fruity flavor get the best out of a warm 2020."

Valle de Uco
The vineyard is located in the depression of the Huarpes, east of the Uco Valley, on the north margin of the Las Tunas River, in the province of Mendoza, Argentina.
This is an area of remarkable thermal amplitude, temperatures fluctuate between minimum of 10 ° C and maximum of 35 ° C, during the summer period and this represents an ideal variation for the cultivation and quality of Malbec, the emblematic Argentinian wine. Thus, we observe that the climate of the Uco Valley is dry and sunny, the soils are sandy and of alluvial origin, with the presence of silt and good permeability; qualities that facilitate a complete maturation of the grapes and the obtaining of wines with remarkable features of fruit and tannic charge. The farm is irrigated with pure thaw water from the Andes mountain range, which reaches it through streams and underground layers.

Vinyes Ocults was conceived as a garage winery. In 2007, we started producing in our home in Villa del Parque, Godoy Cruz, Mendoza, with grapes sourced from high-quality vineyards and our own fermentation tanks. Clients response was amazing: we sold out the initial 400-litre production in 2 months.

¿Why do I make this wine?
I can’t. I won’t ever be able to be wine; yet, as a winemaker I am through wine, I exist because of wine and my ego is dissolved in its spirit. Wine is and will be the main character and protagonist of this work of art that begins when those who uncork a bottle long for unraveling the mystery of secret geniuses that live in there and wait patiently to be loved.
